What were you looking for when you started learning with Shelley?

I wanted an outlet of emotional expression through songs and singing: both for personal development and also as a tool to integrate into my future career path. Unfortunately, for me, I had never been given the opportunity to explore singing as a medium. Also from an early age I'd had a really negative experience in primary education - and was told I was "tone deaf".

In a few words, how would you describe Shelley's teaching style?

Shelly possesses exceptional interpersonal skills; her authentic style and professionalism combined with her genuine nature of kindness, caring, and support creates a safe environment, where I'm able to relax, enjoy, and just as importantly for me have fun whilst learning.

What have you achieved and what does it mean for you?:

I can sing! YES - I truly can, ( not tone deaf after all ) In a relatively short period of time Shelley has helped me instil self-confidence and self-belief in my ability as a singer. Wow. It's such a sense of achievement and an incredible feeling. I love it.

What is your next goal?:

To continue to have fun whilst under the tutelage of Shelley, expand my vocal chords - vocabulary, and learn some of the technical aspects of singing. Hopefully, I'll consider looking at some formal qualifications too.
