What were you looking for when you started learning with Shelley?

When I started learning with Shelley I wanted to grow as a performer. Not just how I sounded but build my confidence when I’m on the stage. Learn how to act through songs and new techniques which would help me become a better singer and performer!

In a few words, how would you describe Shelley's teaching style?

Working with someone as kind, caring, and as great as Shelly is amazing. Shelley is so lovely and you can see how much she cares for all her students. Shelley’s teaching is amazing and I love how I can have an end product of a recording of a song. I can choose any song I want to learn and I know she will help me execute it to the best of my ability. But also if I need help with an audition piece or a song I need to learn for school or something else she’s always there to help me!

What have you achieved and what does it mean for you?

I have recorded lots of songs now at studio 34 with Shelley’s help learning them and Rick’s amazing recording. I recently passed my musical theatre singing LAMDA exam with a distinction. And performed in musicals such as Legally Blonde, and High School Musical. And got a place at Curve. Shelley has helped massively with helping me learning songs and giving me tips on how to perform through the songs. I also performed in Shelley’s show last year able to sing a solo and sing as part of an amazing group.

What is your next goal?

My next goal is to perform at Shelley’s show this year doing solo, duet, and group pieces. And to continue to record songs and build up my experiences as a performer.
